| Calm the Mind |
Allow the driver to drive calmly, reducing fatigue and irritability |

When the family travels, everyone is protected by deities |
| Avoid Fines |
Some temple amulets also carry the meaning of "safe travels and no harassment" |
How to Use
| Hang in the Car |
The most common method, hung on the rearview mirror or affixed above the dashboard |
| Carry with You |
Fold and place in a wallet or small personal bag, carried by the driver |
| Place in Storage Compartment |
Place in the storage compartment next to the driver's seat or in the glove compartment; just keep it clean |
| Activated by Temple Incense |
The amulet has already been circled three times over the main incense burner of a temple |
Taboos and Precautions
| Replace if Dirty or Damaged |
If soaked with drinks, contaminated with filth, or damaged, it should be burned with joss paper and a new amulet requested |
| Do Not Discard Casually |
The car amulet is sacred; when no longer used, it should be treated respectfully (burned), not thrown away as trash |
| Avoid Placing in Cluttered Areas |
Keep the car interior tidy, and do not pile miscellaneous items around the amulet |
| Replace Annually |
Most amulets are valid for about one year; a new amulet can be requested the following year to refresh the energy |
| Do Not Open and Peek |
Car amulets are often folded into a triangle or placed in a bag; please keep them in their original state and do not curiously open them |
