Ward off evil, suppress malevolence, protect and ensure safety
Heavenly thunder is considered the ultimate yang and strongest force. Struck wood, imbued with this energy, is believed to dispel negative energies and protect the wearer from interference.
Represents the core power in Taoist thunder magic, symbolizing the suppression of negative energy and the eradication of impurity.
Five Paths (Five Wealth Gods)
Attract wealth and blessings, open up paths to prosperity
Corresponds to the wealth energy of the five directions (east, south, west, north, center), symbolizing the gathering of wealth from all directions and aiding in business success.
Precautions
Strictly avoid water
Struck wood contains "thunder energy" which can be washed away by water. Also, wood itself easily absorbs water and can crack or mold. Be sure to remove it when washing hands, bathing, or swimming.
Avoid defilement
Avoid contact with sweat, grease, or chemical cleaners. Some customs believe it's not advisable for women to wear it during menstruation or sexual activity, out of respect.
Prevent others from touching
Traditionally, struck wood is believed to recognize its owner. Others touching it may "disrupt the magnetic field" and weaken its effectiveness.
Do not casually gift
Long-term wear means it has assimilated with your personal energy field. Gifting it to others might be detrimental to both parties.
Storage location
It is recommended to remove it when sleeping and place it in a clean spot like a cabinet, not under the pillow.
Recommendation for specific individuals to observe first
If you have deities enshrined at home (such as Xianjia mediums or family guardians), or wear spirit-containing amulets like Thai Buddhist amulets or Yin cards, the strong positive thunder energy might conflict with them. It's recommended not to wear it immediately upon receiving it, but instead to place it at home and observe your body and luck before deciding whether to use it.
